Working towards unity
In 1966, Pope Paul VI gave his Episcopal ring to the Archbishop of Canterbury. It was a powerful gesture of fraternal love and openness towards the Church of England. It was made during the signing of a joint declaration by the two Churches to work towards unity.
Caravita follows in the footsteps of Pope Paul VI by working closely with the Anglican Centre in Rome. In 2013, Caravita and the Anglican Centre committed to working together through the signing of a covenant.
